How it looks
A debossed band has type below the surface, like a stamp pushed into the silicone. Up close the words still read, especially when the line is short and the colour contrast is strong.
A school name, a year, or a brief slogan fits well. A detailed full-colour logo usually does not. For that, printed is clearer. If you are between the two, put both ideas on the quote and we will say which finish will hold the artwork.

Ink fill
Debossed ink filled wristbands are the indent plus a second colour in the letters. That product is ink fill. The proof shows both colours before we make anything.
Everything else matches a normal custom order. Minimum 100 of the style. Send the words, approve the proof, and we produce. Quantity and extras set the price.
